Day 1: Arrival at  Paro International Airport

On your arrival you will be greeted by our representative and transferred  to your hotel. You will visit Paro Dzong (Fortress) In the afternoon. Then you will get to visit the great edifice (Paro Dzong) which was constructed in the year 1644 for religious institutions and government offices. You will also visit the National museum (watch tower for the Dzong). Which is a house for the collection of fine arts, paintings, thankas and antiques. Drugyal Dzong( Ruined Fortress)  we will also take you to Drugyal Dzong (a ruin fortress). Although it is ruined, but  it is of great historic importance to the Bhutanese community because it was the place where the Bhutanese had finally defeated the Tibetan invaders and drove them away. Overnight stay in Paro. 


Day 2: The Taktshang Hike (Tigerís Nest as it is called)

 This morning after breakfast we will begin with a hike up to view one of the most important monuments in Bhutan, the Taktshang monastery referred as the ĎTiger Nestí. It is located 900m above the valley floor perched on a cliff. You shall take five to six hours to reach back to the plains. The walk is enjoyable through the woods up and down and sometimes very adventurous. We will also take you to 7th century Kyichu Lhakhang one of the 108 temples which were built in the Himalayas by the Tibetan king, Songtsen Gampo. The building of this temple marked the introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan. In the evening  you shall drive to Thimphu, it is an hourís drive. On your arrival in Thimphu check in at the hotel.

Day 3: Thimphu Sightseeing

In the morning after breakfast you shall go to Thimphu (capital city of Bhutan). It is approximately one and half hours drive following the two rivers; pa chhu and wang chhu. Thimphu city is  the home of our royal families, head offices for ministries, agencies, pvt. firms. It is also the most populated place in the kingdom. Thimphu Dzong (Fortress) On reaching to Thimphu you will be taken to your hotel and explore Thimphu city. After lunch visit the Tashichhoe Dzong: summer residence of the chief abbot and the central monk body and also the main secretariat building which houses the throne room of His Majesty the King. In the evening visit Buddha Point ,kuenselphodrang to view the worlds largest and the tallest statue of Lord Buddha. The 169-feet bronze statue symbolizes indestructibility.

Day 4: Departure Paro

After an early breakfast at the hotel drive to the airport for flight for your onward destination.
