SUGGESTEDITINERARY

 

Day 01:       FlyPokhara/Jomsom -20 mins. Morning flight. Arrival/Transfer to JMR. Afterbreakfast, pony trek or day hike for 2 hours to charming Marpha village. 3 hrstour of ancient Tibetan Monastery, Apple orchards and the local distillery andbrowse around the old village alleys. Lunch at one of the local trekkingteashops. Return late afternoon via Shyang village back to the JMR. Dinner andO/N at JMR.

                                                                                           

 

 

Day 02:       Afterbreakfast, pony trek or day hike for 2 hours to the sacred Dhumba Lake andvisit the mystical Kastapterenga Monastery. Picnics lunch at the top of thishill and enjoy fabulous views of the Jomsom valley and the majestic Nilgiripeak continue to the centuries old Thinigaon, where the Bon Po religion isstill practiced. Return via old Jomsom to the JMR. Dinner and O/N at the JMR.

                          

                 

 

Day 03:       Afterbreakfast, proceed north to Kagbeni, the last village frontier before enteringthe trail to upper mustang, enroute to Lo Manthang and Dolpo. A good 3 hourswalk or by pony trek from Jomsom. This place is also at the confluence of theKali Gandaki and Jhong rivers. It is also the base camp before embarking on tothe famous Muktinath temple, another 3 hours up hill trek. Lunch at one of thetrekking lodges. Tour around the quaint alleyways, ancient monastery, and localhabitats. Return in the evening to JMR. Dinner and O/N at the resort.

 

 

Day04:       Early morning departure forairport. Fly to Pokhara and continue with your onward program.
