DAY 01:
Transfer to Kathmandu Domestic Airport. Fly to Meghauly. It is a thirty-minute flight from Kathmandu to Meghauly. Upon arrival at Meghauly airfield, you will be met and assisted by the Tiger Tops representative. As you arrive at Meghauly, you will be served snack lunch . After lunch, we head towards our destination driving for about ten minutes till Rapti River in a landrover enjoying the views of plains and grasslands. At the bank of Rapti River, Tiger Tops boat riders will be waiting for you to transfer you to the other side of the river. Get into a dugout canoe and enjoy the canoe ride on the beautiful Rapti river althought it lasts only for seven to ten minutes. We then drive for approximately twenty to thirty minutes to Asia’s premiere jungle lodge – Tiger Tops through the enthralling jungle. As we drive deeper inside the jungle and if luck favours, we will see many animals such as spotted deer, barking deer, langur monkeys, different kinds of birds, the great one-horned rhinoceros and many more. We then arrive at the heart of the jungle – Tiger Tops. Upon arrival at the Lodge, you will be met and briefed by the resident Guest Relations Officer regarding Park and wildlife programmes available. While planning your jungle activities, freshen up yourself with a wet towel and a refreshing drink. Once your rooms are allocated and everything is set, we begin our jungle safari. At Tiger Tops, each programme is decided only after discussing the same with the guest, however, here we have mentioned a sample itinerary for your reference.
Lets start our quest with Elephant briefing. We take you to the elephant stable where a detailed briefing is given about Asian elephant, its habitat, its behaviour, its appearance and structure, its diet and present status of Asian elephants including the comparison or differences between Asian and African elephants. Now learning about the Asian elephants, we then set ourselves for Elephant safari – a ride on elephant-back to search animals in the jungle. Elephant safari lasts for an hour to two. Previously Ranas of Nepal and their distinguished guests used to go for elephant safari in search of Tigers and other animals for hunting purpose. And the Royal Family used to ride on elephants during special occasions such as coronation. So Elephant safari will no doubt give you a Maharaja style experience but here we enjoy watching nature’s amazing beauties rather than creating any troubles to them. After our safari, we then head towards Reu river for once in a lifetime experience – Elephant bathing. You can, not only watch elephant bathing but indeed can give a bath to elephants. Certainly, this a unique experience as you could bathe together with this lovely animal. Our naturalists and Mahouts will be instructing you for the same to make your experience more fun-filled and memorable. With this amazing experience and capturing beautiful pictures of the jungle in our mind and of course camera, we head back to the Lodge for our first night in the jungle.

When we return back to the Lodge, we find the Golghar all set for the evening activities with a welcoming ambience. Electric lights are not used inside the Golghar as candles and lanterns make the ambience simply perfect. Enjoy the chilled drink from our fully stocked bar with a range of local and imported liquors and wines along with the mouth watering bar snacks. As we enjoy our drink, we see a screen and projector ready for a slide show about Royal Chitwan National Park. Tiger Tops’ expert naturalist then enlighten us with the briefing and slide show of one of the best National Parks of the world.

After approximately a thirty-minute long slide show, our scrumptious three course continental dinner gets ready. With this, we end our first day’s activities. After dinner, our GRO will suggest you about next day’s activities and you could plan your day accordingly. However, guests are most welcome to sit back and enjoy their drinks at the Golghar as our bar is open till the last guest retires to bed.

Overnight at Tiger Tops Jungle Lodge.

DAY 02:
As per your request, our staff gives you a wake up call at suggested time in the morning – no telephone rings but a simple knock on the door. As you are in the jungle with a complete relaxing and holiday mood, we set you free from telephone calls, TV, papers, radios – routined items. Jungle activities could be done either before/after breakfast. Breakfast at the Lodge is served from 7:30AM till 9:30AM.

We suggest you to start your day with a Jungle or Nature walk. Our naturalist accompanies you during your Nature walk and briefs you about Chitwan’s flora and fauna. Nature walk is thrilling and adventurous as unlike elephant safari you are on your own feet, searching animals and birds in the wild. After a walk about an hour, we return to the lodge for breakfast.

After breakfast, relax at the lodge for a while before we get ready for another jungle safari activity. Freshen up and then we go for a Jeep safari in an open Landrover, made best for wildlife viewing. The naturalist accompanies you during your jeep ride.

Return to Lodge for lunch. Set Nepali lunch, an acclaimed specialty of all Tiger Mountain’s property is served for lunch.

In the afternoon, we then head for a very pleasant activity – boat safari. You will be transferred to the safari starting point at Rapti river. Boat safari is an adventurous plus a very enjoyable ride in a dugout canoe. It offers great views of local and seasonal birds, gharial crocodiles and marsh muggers including other reptiles and amphibians.

After this awesome river journey, we return to the Lodge to share our day’s experience and animal sightings over our dinner and drink at the unique Golghar.

Overnight stay at the lodge.
DAY 03:

After this incredible activity, we return to the Lodge for breakfast.

After breakfast we will head toward the Gharial Breeding Center at Kasari (park headquarters) to witness the conservation effort and breeding of the Gharial crocodiles by landrover.
